DISSEMINATION: MERCÈ GISBERT MODERATES THE PANEL "Public Policies in educational technology. A medium-term look" AT EDTECH CONGRESS BCN23

On April 19 and 20, 2023, the Learning in Artificial Intelligence Day were held within the framework of the EdTech Congress Barcelona organized by EduTechCluster in collaboration with the Department of Education.

Dr. Mercè Gisbert moderated the panel "Public Policies in educational technology. A medium-term look", a conversation between:

• Julio Albalad: Director of the National Institute of Educational Technologies and Teacher Training (INTEF).
• Jordi Serarols: Deputy Director General of Research and Digital Culture. General Directorate of Innovation, Digitization, Curriculum and Languages. Education department. Generalitat Catalonia.
• Carlos Torrecilla: Director of the Digital Economy Unit. Joint Research Center. European Commission.

Educational technology policies must respond to advances in educational research, as well as the needs and challenges posed by the educational community and the productive sector.

In this panel, the main policies and strategic lines in educational technology for the coming years at a European, state and regional level were announced, answering questions such as what are the main strategic lines for the coming years in educational technology policies? Or what is the European Digital Education Action Plan? The panel also seeks to open a space for dialogue and listening between those who design policies and the educational community made up of teachers, educational centers and technology companies.
