2019 - 2020

Robotics is currently present in the daily life of many children. It has an attractive format for them and many show an unimaginable skill to use, especially the smallest. This tool has proven to have many advantages in the learning process and, therefore, it is important to include it in the curriculum of the smallest of the school. We want to introduce the use of educational robotics in the classes of the Infant Education Degree, so that future teachers acquire the necessary skills for the use of robotics as a learning tool and also, they can observe their full potential to create and evaluate educational material adapted to the real needs of the educational context.

Support programs

GA: Incorporate educational robotics in the training of early childhood teachers

EA1: Publicize the educational potential of robotics in children
EA2: Educational materials Design through educational robotics
EA3: Implementation of the designed materials to the real classroom context
EA4: Evaluate the contribution they have had in the learning process

The intervention will be framed within of Sciences, Social Scienes and Maths Teaching and Learning subject. That's a 4th course of Preschool teachers Bachelo. Part of the subject will be dedicated to publicize the educational potential of robotics in future teachers of the infant grade, applied to the field of experimental sciences. So that the students of the degree are aware of this potential they will be the ones who, as students, will enjoy activities in the classroom that have been previously designed by the teachers who are part of this project.
