X-PRESS@'T: THE SOUND EDUCATIONAL USE FOR THE IMPROVEMENT AND TRANSFER OF THE LEARNING OF THE ORAL LANGUAGE IN PLURILINGUAL CONTEXT

2007/ARIE/00058

2008 - 2009

Educational centers are currently faced with the great professional challenge of managing the diversity and social and cultural complexity that exists, to make it an opportunity for improvement and collective growth.

Language, an essential element, becomes a channel of communication and cohesion, which is the backbone of this multilingual and multicultural society. Within this context, the innovation project "X-press @" T is marked as a priority objective to improve the learning of the oral language from the didactic use of sound (podcasting) and at the same time enhance the transfer of these lessons in the different linguistic areas. Starting with the creation of a multidisciplinary research team (University, Secondary, Primary, EOI) and the direct involvement of educational institutions (Inspection, Language Service - SGLIC - and ICE), we propose to start a transversal process that aims to be a pioneer in the use of the Podcast in order to generate new models that allow us to achieve standards of quality and improvement in the learning of the oral language through proposals of classroom activities.

This is a practical project, based on cooperative work among all the agents that are part of it. The practical methodology implies that each component of each group of educational level (primary, secondary, EOI and university) apply and test the innovative materials in their classroom. From sharing these experiences with the entire group, communication and materials are extended to other groups that make up the macro or global level, in order to configure an innovative virtual community that uses all the potentialities that the contents of podcasting can contribute to an improvement in the quality of oral language teaching.
